I have wasted so much energy and money trying out different softwares so that my daily workflow can be smoother, so please join the cult, if you're also into improving productivity.

These are the ones that are still sticking with me.

research

• Zotero academics essential, with available third-party CLIs out there
• Obsidian nowadays it's filled with mostly AI generated content (slop?) but still, Zettelkasten
• Mathpix pre-AI era OCR for maths, much faster than LLMs so I still use it

mac

• Raycast power launcher that replaces Spotlight, soooo much better
• SaneSideButtons if you're a mouse user on a Mac, a must
• Mole till this day how to cleanly uninstall apps on MacOS is a mystery to me, but luckily this helps

setup

• Homebrew need I say more?
• Warp perfect if you’re not really a fan of terminals lol
• Starship makes shell look less boring
• Tailscale being able to SSH anywhere feels very freeing

agents

• Vibe Island no more window jumping between agents / conversations
• Magpie model routing, nice to have if you have more than one subscription / API key
• Hermes Agent mine lives in Discord and to make the chat experience nicer I also now have...
• BetterDiscord plugins Discord mods, plenty to explore, also easy to vibe code one if you have specific things in mind. I have a in-chat Markdown renderer uploaded here
